About CHCF

Things that CHFC get up to.

We are committed to the Principles and Practice of Service Users/Carer Involvement in the planning and delivery of Health and Social Care Services for everyone in North Tyneside.  This includes issues around:

Children and young people
Older People
Learning Disabilities
Physical/Sensory Disability
Drug or Alcohol Misuse
Mental Health
Hiv/Aids
Black and Ethnic Communities
Carers

Being a member of the Health Partnership, we were involved last year in the planning and preparation of the Health Partnership event which focused on Healthy Community Awards being presented to groups in the borough. Also as a co-opted member within Health Scrutiny we welcomed the opportunity to be involved in evaluating Home Care services.  Other items that we have been involved in include; - Choose and Book information event, Supporting People evaluations and a review of Age Concern’s day centres.

Forum Meetings

We aim to hold a forum meeting usually once every six weeks.  The topics for these information events are varied and have included a huge range of subjects within the health and social environment of North Tyneside.

We often invite guest speakers to come along to give valued information and there is generally a question and answer style session at the end of the meeting.  People do get a chance to have their say!

Transport

If you have trouble arranging transport to get to our meetings we can do that for you.  We are able to offer free transport to take you to these events.
